AFRICA'S TECH BOOM

Africa is now establishing itself as one of the most attractive digital markets in the world. Driven by billions of dollars in international investments, the continent's AI and digital infrastructure sectors are expected to more than double in value by 2030, surpassing the growth trajectory of many other regions of the globe. Several indicators attest to this rise in power:

Digital economy growth

Digital economy growth

According to the African Development Bank, the African digital economy could reach «$2.9 trillion by 2030», while artificial intelligence could generate «$1 trillion of additional GDP by 2035».

Rapid AI adoption

Rapid AI adoption

Artificial intelligence is becoming a major transformation driver for Africa. The continental AI market, valued at $4.5 billion in 2025, could reach $16.5 billion by 2030, supported by an annual growth rate of 27% according to a MasterCard report. This trajectory is based on a distinctive demographic asset: young Africans quick to adopt digital technologies, and likely to generate up to 230 million jobs in the sector.

Investment

Investment

Africa is building the digital foundations of tomorrow. Data centers, telecommunications, cloud: investments are accelerating at an unprecedented pace across the continent. The African data center market, estimated at $7 billion in 2025, could double to reach more than $14 billion by 2035.

Some testimonials about SALTIS 2025

Discover what ecosystem players think about our event

Over the editions, SALTIS has established itself as an essential strategic meeting in Senegal. Much more than a simple event, it constitutes a true space of convergence, reflection and decision, fostering a fruitful dialogue between the State, the private sector, development partners and youth.

Boubacar Roger Thiam

Boubacar Roger Thiam

Director of Digital Economy and Partnerships

I believe that in Senegal we have a vibrant AI community, and this is a real opportunity because not all countries yet have this maturity on the subject. It is therefore essential to have meetings like this one to allow stakeholders to meet, exchange and above all for young people to feel inspired.

Marlène Lasgouttes Sow

This event has now been added to the agenda of the Senegalese digital ecosystem. As Sénégal Numérique SA, it was essential for us to participate in this initiative to share our vision on structuring a stronger and more inclusive ecosystem but also to identify talents through the demonstration session held on the second day of SALTIS.

Isodore Diouf

Isodore Diouf

CEO, Sénégal Numérique SA

SALTIS was a very beautiful initiative to highlight the opportunities offered by AI, digital and technology. Particular attention was paid to women entrepreneurs by showing them how to use AI to better integrate into the professional and entrepreneurial world.

Ouma Sani

Director Women Investment Club (WIC)

This type of initiative deserves to be supported and replicated in other regions of Senegal. It was really important to bring together players in artificial intelligence and innovation. The event was a success, but the most important thing remains what will be done afterwards: defining a roadmap, strengthening the involvement of public authorities and preparing the 2026 edition.

Participating in SALTIS 2025 was a particularly enriching experience for me. I had the opportunity to exchange with committed panelists, from various backgrounds, but all mobilized around a common objective: strengthening cybersecurity and promoting digital inclusion in Senegal.
